This is how the chicken Parmesan look in December 23 2023 ...Why did you change recipe. The chicken Parmesan I got in 9/6/2024 . Was awful. And it was burnt the chicken was hard and the spaghetti had no taste.. But you say your cooks are the best that's one big lie and you know it. I suggest you go back to the old recipe because of what you got now it's not working and the brownie. I got taste like brown cocoa no sweetness at all so you wanna check that also I wish you all the luck in the future.
We met others on the side where you go to counter to order food. It was quickly served. I ordered a small Michigan salad which was rather huge and very good. I only ate a few bites couldn't finish it. My husband ordered a pizza, wings appetizer and 2 soups. It was the best tomato bisque we ever tasted. Which is why i didn't finish my salad. The tables are close but the atmosphere was light and bright. The plates were removed even though we really didn't have a server. We would go again.
Stopped here for a bite and a meeting. The place is clearly a hot spot for locals who like a good meal. The place has a retro feel to it and has a lot of charm with the decorative decor. Once you're seated, you look over the menu to which you then go up to the counter to order. The food is then brought to your table. The plates and silverware are near the pop machine, which is all self serve. The staff were all friendly and attentive to your needs with some additional light banter. They certainly add to the atmosphere and experience. The food was made fresh and delicious. The Mediterranean pizza was made with fresh materials and with just enough topping to make it very filling the other dishes also looked very fresh being the chicken sandwich and salad along with a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. This would be a stop for me again. The only odd thing is parking and that is easily overlooked once you understand the method of getting there.
I have drove by this place several times, and finally decided to stop in and give it a try. When entering, we realize there is a self-serve option, and also a full service sit down option. We opted for the sit down portion and we were taken to the back of the restaurant where there were tables and a bar area. This restaurant gave an old-school Italian pizza restaurant vibes. Our waitress provided us with some recommendations and we ordered our pizza. if you love garlic order the white pie, it had whole clove, garlic pieces, artichokes, and cheese on a thin crust. My cousin ordered the Mediterranean pizza, which tasted amazing with the fresh mozzarella and tomato. Our waitress surprised us with chocolate chip cookies that were so good. I will definitely return.
Crispelli's offers an enjoyable and unique experience. Both the cafeteria style, "self-serve," and the restaurant style, "full service," are options. The chefs can be seen working the ovens while you dine in. There will most likely be a wait during busy hours. The pizza itself isn't necessarily the best around, but it's better than average. Although the dessert menu changes from time to time, cookies are a mainstay. Locals who have never been to Crispelli's should definitely check it out.
When arriving tonight, I was immediately greeted by a friendly host. I came with a group of 5 and they were able to get us seated very quickly! We sat out on the covered patio area. Our waitress immediately brought over waters and was very attentive and kind. We started with the meatballs and they were delicious!!! It comes with 5 meatballs and they are a good size! The bread that comes with it has such a good flavor and cooked to perfection. I ordered the antipasto salad as my meal. The salad was very large. You could honestly split the normal entree size with 2-3 people. Note that the salad comes with arugula... I don't like arugula and didn't know, as it's not specifically listed on the menu, so I had to pick it out..a personal problem. The build your own pizza that my sister ordered was chewy and they loaded it up with the toppings which was nice! My sister chose chicken, roasted red peppers & arugula. Others in our party ordered the pasta & meatballs with a side salad, a mushroom pizza, and a normal pepperoni pizza. The pasta portion was very large!! Everyone enjoyed their meals!
As a native New Yorker, I'm a bit particular about my pizza. I gravitate towards the classic NY-style thin-crust pizza and rarely adventure to the Midwest-style deep-dish. Crispelli's is one of the handful of places in the area that absolutely nails the thin-crust pizza!! The crust is fluffy and not too thin and the sauce is packed with flavor. My favorite pizza on their menu is the "Shrimp Chorizo" (I substitute chicken for the chorizo) loaded with roasted peppers, fresh cilantro pesto, and several types of cheeses. I don't know what they put in the sauce but it's AMAZING. I tried exploring other things on the menu and fell in love with the "Margherita Pizza". Again, it's all about the flavor! They use super fresh mozzarella, and their staple sauce. It's simple but so good. I also add crushed red pepper for heat. This pizza is truly a beauty (as you can see below) and tastes even better. They also have a mini bakery of pastries and bread. I love their tiramisu. Overall the customer service is always on point. They're always quick to fix anything I have an issue with. I've yet to dine in but it looks spacious inside.
